Who We Are
Loose Leaves is an independent publisher of quality fiction and nonfiction books, founded in 2012 and based in Tucson, Arizona. We are professionals who love books and choose only the finest manuscripts for publishing.
We build relationships with both new and established writers selecting works based on our own judgment rather than a corporate policy. We are personally invested in both the author and their work.
Mission
Good writing is a start, but we know it doesn't end there. We believe authors should know and be comfortable with the publisher to whom they entrust their manuscript. We pledge to be with you each step of your book’s journey to its audience. When authors enjoy a secure, trusting relationship with their publisher, they are free to create the best books possible.
In support of our mission, we provide the following:
- Selection - Reviewing submissions is exciting. We look for new writing talent and exceptional work that speaks to us. We are highly selective, which allows us to give each manuscript the time and attention it deserves.
- Editing - Our staff works hard to ensure that we publish each book with care, providing individual attention to copyediting and proofreading.
- Publishing - This encompasses cover design, layout, printing, ebook creation, and promotion. We work with the Ingram Content Group for printing and worldwide distribution of print books, and with leading ebook sellers.
- Marketing - We succeed when our authors succeed; consequently, we work closely with our authors to reach their intended audience. Following the author’s plan, we assist with submissions for literary prizes and critical review. We support book signings, book giveaways, and produce press releases, bookmarks, and other promotional materials.
- Community - Loose Leaves Publishing is part of the worldwide literary community. All of our books are offered through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound and ebook sellers. Book stores around the globe can order our titles from the Ingram catalog.
We support local, independent booksellers, book clubs, schools, and libraries by offering quantity discounts and complimentary copies of our titles when possible.

Success
We are extremely proud that one of our original titles received the 2014 IPPY Gold Medal for Historical Fiction. It then went on to be selected as the first place winner of the 2015 International Book Awards: Historical Fiction.
Other titles have won, or been nominated for nationally recognized awards.
The ultimate success is the satisfaction of a job well done. We spend our time, effort, and passion to create books we love and offer them to others.
